Myra Lee is the second album by American singer/songwriter Chan Marshall, a.k.a. Cat Power. The album is named after Marshall’s mother. It was released in 1996 on the Smells Like Records label, but was recorded at the same time of Dear Sir, her previous album.

You Are Free is the sixth album by American singer/songwriter Chan Marshall, a.k.a. Cat Power. It was released in 2003 on Matador Records. Dave Grohl of Nirvana plays the drums and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam provides backing vocals on two tracks. Warren Ellis played violin on two songs.

Jukebox is the eighth album by American singer/songwriter Chan Marshall, also known by her stage name, Cat Power. It was released onJanuary 22, 2008 on Matador Records. A limited-edition silver foil deluxe package was also released containing a bonus disc with five extra songs.

The album is comprised almost entirely of cover songs, save for “Song to Bobby” and “Metal Heart” (“Metal Heart” was previously recorded and released in 1998). This is Marshall’s second record of cover songs; her first, The Covers Record, was released in 2000.

Lost Highway is the soundtrack album for the 1997 David Lynch film of the same name. It was produced by Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), and includes original music from the film recorded by Reznor, Angelo Badalamenti, Marilyn Manson, and Smashing Pumpkins, as well as songs by other artists used in the film. The album reached #7 on the Billboard 200 and reached Gold status selling 500,000 copies in the United States.

The Greatest is the seventh studio album by indie rock artist Chan Marshall, a.k.a Cat Power. It debuted at #34 on the Billboard 200, her highest charting album at the time, and is her first album to feature no cover songs. The Memphis Rhythm Band includes Teenie Hodges, Steve Potts, Dave Smith, Rick Steff, Doug Easley, Jim Spake, Scott Thompson and Susan Marshall. String arrangements were contributed by Harlan T. Bobo and Jonathan Kirkscey.

The Greatest won the 2006 Shortlist Music Prize, making Marshall the first woman to win the honor. It was also named the number 6 best album of 2006 by RollingStone Magazine.

The title track was featured in the Bones episode The Titan on the Tracks. It was also used in the UK for Garnier hair products advertisements. The song was featured in the film and in the trailers for Wong Kar-Wai’s debut English production, My Blueberry Nights. In 2009 the song was featured in the movies Mammoth by Lukas Moodysson and Ricky by Francois Ozon. An instrumental version is used in Chuck.
